politics THE one question

to formulate better soon: but really only interested in assisting anyone in what next.

"do you think if it were possible that the matter of European Union or EEA [Norwegian style memb] should go back into parliament ..on a free vote basis [unwhipped - i.e. EACH MP VOTES  NOT BY PARTY ALLEGIANCE?"

there being no more 'politics' - largeish government [highish tax large state] neoliberal lite ideology rules the two parties now in UK  - likely for decades...Corbyism having been eviscerated.

And thus the only 'politics' of any real substance is if libdems get a larger vote so they can leverage it in, should the EU question be revisited?. which also parallels  PR being revisited - all other EU countries have PR.

They  - internationalism and PR...are modern.

+++++++++++++

A few days after writing this - section below,  i made a film off the cuff which in a way sets the tone far more succinctly..ish.

It is here.

one of these should work - mega.nz or google drive filestore

There is also what is politics 24 Oct in a terribly interesting location. In that they should be a bit enlightenment values, but... lifestyle interjects, and when that happens, anything can happen.

And it did: a once fairly stalwart 'liberal' region - this an epicentre, turned selfish 'striver' blue. But oh my how they moan in the local arts centre about not having any funding for anything any more....seems those local blue plutocrats are actually just as selfish as everyone else.  And don't even chip in to fund the arts any more... in what became their nouveau Tory heartland.

I missed out though really i think it is time to grow up.  I bet lonely older French gits and gitteses, or goats and she goats if we wish to speak bland, look forward to a session in their yellow jackets at the barricades: " oooh lahh lahhh... great nouveau chatting up goats opportunities never mind all fired up i bet theyreup for it... after the wind down glass of fellowship wine" whilst British anodyne lonely old ones seem to deny it is a 'poliical' issue - never mind being the easiest fix environmentally ".. today one old goat per chimney... tomorrow two ... half the emissions never mind rather a lot of housing liberated for the next generation...and homeless...[slogan copyrightme about 7 years ago - funny even my planet hating brexit friends have said that's a heck of a slogan ]" whilst in parrallel applying human recsources lore as if it is underway at some silicon valley largetech or legal department, theyre a fuckin club...  a club of generally smellier anorak clad clubites....

well maybe if they told a bit of truth: lonely, bored, come and deliver some leaflets with us ! free glass of wine after, and phones get left in lockers, what happens at the social stays at the social... especially if the intention if to breed a few more like us...

when will the so called 'left' learn that earnest

does

not

work

indeed is arguably why we ended up 'here' in the first place. And certainly why the planet will burn or be a fetid swamp of rotting microplastic  - as The Greens (who aren't - i have the dirt on them) believe they can change everything without changing their  broken earnest record... which failed to work.

'politics' - is ....

in video waffle

and THE question revisited - maybe the important question about THE question.

Some words for a young politico

context intro, can skip.

this site is intended to be universal  - don't believe ignorant and rather arrogant modern day human biologists  - things began to go awry in the 80s as genetics was thought to be prime force in anything. Wrong. Many examples can be given. One is that plenty of the truly cutting edge thinkers about mental illness reject genes as playing other than a small part. Cultural construct is almost alll in most of what humans are. And cultural construct goes very very deep. Is also quite impossible to experimentally research fully as  we cannot do randomised double blind trials on human beings. And it is increasingly accepted that 'culture' or  'experience' (which is part of 'culture' or to be more correct the phenotype)  starts as soon as the foetus is starting...  so the 'twin studies' which most of your Daily Mail type bimbo reportage - sadly also deep within BBC and supposed elite media,  still cannot stop imagining was not perverted (cheating- even if the researchers didnt know they were..)

a rare correct wiki entry on that word:In genetics, the phenotype (from Ancient Greek φαίνω (phaínō) 'to appear, show, shine', and τύπος (túpos) 'mark, type') is the set of observable characteristics or traits of an organism.[1][2] The term covers the organism's morphology or physical form and structure, its developmental processes, its biochemical and physiological properties, its behaviour, and the products of behaviour. An organism's phenotype results from two basic factors: the expression of an organism's genetic code, or its genotype, and the influence of environmental factors. Both factors may interact,

To business:

As with GOOD parenting of youngsters, politics should only be about what happens next. Today or tomorrow.

Of course any wise person has in mind the past as 'context' - but don't let it define today.

Fait accompi is lovely. And is almost the key to happiness. Certainly is a key to great mental health.

Fait Accompli is a fancy way of saying we are where we are.

Unless some truly new REAL 'crisis' event takes place - in my opinion there are no crises for about.... ehh lets see, sixty years...  the Cuban Missile Crisis arguably a crisis... otherwise a long slow  descent to the lowest common denominator. Bad telly gradually caused the masses to dumb down. We knew that around 25 years ago when it was often intelligently written about.  Things like BREXIT and Trump are just quite small drifts in the overall zeitgeist.

There is one great documentary i 'believe'  - the Curtiss program  8 women from Kettering XXX when it could be identified Reagan/Thatcherism had in a way succeeded and the ordinary person in general started to thing more of personal advantage rather than collective good.... and nowt much has changed since then. With maybe one fundamental exception which is that for about 15 or more years the majority spends a lot of their time looking into small screens, which good science suggested even 25 years ago...made you feel shit. (far far more shit than larger screens ever do - defn of large screen 15" or ideally 17 plus..).

There have always been wars, there have always been bugs around... economic foundations ebb and flow...

There would have always been (certainly from turn of this century)  20 or 30 or maybe even 40 percent of the population who may vote against nasty foreigners, or for some cheeky redneck like a Trump... and by the 2010s the dumbed down bad telly had probably tipped that further towards 40 or 50% ... thats all that happened -a bit of a swing...

And all the silly younger media voices spending all day looking at their silly little screens, by definition feeling crap about absolutely everything as these screens actually cause one (irrespective of content!) to almost have symptoms of 'depression' ...and it came to pass that the only way a journalist or commentator could be taken seriously was if she started almost every segment with " in terrible times like these" which s/he believes, as to be a commentator these days by default that means being on silly little screens much of the day.

Today. Friday 21 Oct 2022

Today any 'thinking person' is free. In the UK.

Because even a year ago any thinking person had an 'option'. Choices can hurt. Can drain one. Arguably were.  Nothing to do with almost 'accidental' brexit. Because there was one major change in the UK as of 2016.  For the only time in at least 40 years a true social democrat with socialist leanings had true power within the non Tory side of the equation. He had more support in the Labour party than ever before.

But today, there is no choice.

Over the last year almost all Corbynites have been eviscerated from the scene.  And a 'New Labour' or Blairite, is back in charge for good. It seems extremely unlikely that the Labour Party can go back to a truly leftist figurehead. And at any rate Corbyn was part of a group or 'system'. Some of them were splendid and still respected as wise commentators as individuals (such as John McDonnell still often called on to radio 4, despite that station's complete war waged on his boss)

Today, and barring any TRUE 'crisis' - i.e. Putin lets a big one off, or some other actor does; China invades Taiwan and it cascades,  Uk politics became as banal as it has ever been. Two ideologies... that are as close in truth as possible making the 'choice' to be none. neoliberalism lite or neoliberalism slightly more pointedly fierce. And all politicians will waffle Green New Deal. Some may be more likely to deliver than others. But that argument  - at least the public version of it, is largely won by the green ideologists (miraculously rahh rahhh... even if they havent got first idea as to how to actually reduce overall negative effects of humanity upon ecosystems..)

to be cont....

it is sort of in the videos in links higher up this page.

All is underway aimed mainly at one young man of my acquaint 7 years.

But one can only hope there are others like him, too.
